Emmanuel Botchway popularly known as Kwaw Kese has been found guilty of smoking cannabis in public by theKMA Circuit Court.

The court presided over by Justice William Boampong sentenced Kwaw Kese on Thursday to one day in prison and fined him GHc1,200.

Kwaw Kese will go to prison for three years with hard labour if default in paying the GH¢ 1,200.

How Do I Deal With A Denied Pregnancy?

I just found out am 4 weeks pregnant, i told my boyfriend about it and all he said was that i should get an abortion to keep the relationship going, or i may decide to have the baby without a father cause he is
not ready to be a father or take a responsibility of a father yet. He said he'd deny ever knowing me if i decide to keep the baby.

I dnt know what to do cause am strongly against abortion, i havent told my parents yet because they wont take it likely with me all.  My boyfriend also promised to remove me on his social network, like whatsap
facebook ,twitter and also buy a new set of network sim card so he won't have anything to do with my again. He even once threaten to run away if the situation become worst.

My Mum taught me sex education and warned me several times against it, she will be very disappointed in me. In as much as i know my parents would eventually be there for me, i have a strict dad that might disown me if I eventually let the cat out of bag.

 This is driving me so crazy i don't know

#XENOPHOBIC: Journalist explain why he took pictures instead of saving Emmanuel Sithole.

Should he have helped instead of take pictures while a man was stabbed to death? That's the big question, as the photographer who captured the brutal murder of a
Mozambique immigrant in South Africa has reacted to the backlash over his decision to take pictures instead of trying to save the victim.

James Oatway witnessed the stabbing and beating of Emmanuel Sithole by four men in Alexandra township near Johannesburg on Saturday. Many slammed the journalist of not doing enough to prevent Mr Sithole's
death.Responding to the criticism, Mr Oatway told Radio 702's John Robbie:

'It's not easy to look at and I understand that some people might be offended by that.'But really people have to know what's happening, and people have to see the brutality and the vulgarity of what's going on.'I think that people who are angry with me for taking the pictures... should try and direct their anger at the men that are responsible for the attack and not at me.'

'The one regret that I have was that the first
clinic that we took him to weren't equipped to treat him.We did lose some valuable time taking him out of the car there, taking him into the clinic and then the nurses told us that there's no doctor there.

'They put a gauze dressing on his wound and then we put him back in the car, but that whole process took about 10 minutes.'

five arm robbers arrested by police.

Five suspected armed robbers who attacked an Internet café and held their victims hostage at East Legon in Accra on April
15, 2015 have been arrested.

With machetes and a single-barrelled gun, the gang is said to have held the operator, employees and some patrons of the
café hostage, while demanding money and phones from them.

The police gave the names of the suspects as Anthony Galley, alias Rasta, a 23-year-old trader; Amewugah Kumafu, alias Hugah, 18, labourer; Richard Tenyuie, 20, a driver’s mate; Richard Korley, alias Sapele, 22, electrician, and Akwasi Aikins, 18, trader.

Another person, identified as Hamza Aziz, 26, is also in the grip of the police for buying the stolen items from the gang.
Two other accomplices, identified as Senyo and Moses, are on the run.

Briefing journalists in Accra yesterday, the Deputy Accra Regional Police Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police
(ACP) Mr Timothy Yoosa Bonga, said in the course of the attack, the gang pinned the café operator to the ground, after which one of them stabbed him on the left shoulder with a dagger.

Mr Bonga said the gang fled the scene after robbing the victims of six mobile phones, four laptops and GH¢1,200, leaving the
café operator bleeding from his injury.
Later on that same day, the gang allegedly attacked and robbed some students of the Islamic University of their money and
phones at Adjirigano, near East Legon.

While the police were hunting for the robbers, one of them was spotted by a security man while he (the alleged robber) was scaling the fence wall of a house about 1:30 a.m. on April 16, 2015.

Mr Bonga said the security man raised an alarm, leading to the arrest of the suspected robber.

“When the police conducted a search on him, four mobile phones and chips were found. He was also identified as one of the
robbers who had attacked the café,” he said.
The suspect, he said, led the police to arrest the other accomplices.

Later, at an identification parade organised by the police in Accra, the victims identified all the suspects as the persons who had robbed them.

KDD Discharged by Accra high court of rape case.

Ace broadcaster, Kwasi Kyei Darkwah, popularly known as KKD, has been discharged on the charge of raping a 19-year-old student in a hotel on December 27, 2014.

This dismissal follows the filing of a 'Nolle Prosequi' by state prosecutors today, Wednesday, April 22, indicating their
unwillingness to continue the case.

A statement presented to the court by state prosecutors and signed by the Attorney General, Marietta Brew Appiah-Oppong, indicated that

"the victim in this case Ewureffe is still very unwilling to testify in court. The victim states that she is highly traumatised by
the events of the day of the incident and its aftermath and so is not
in the right frame of mind to appear before court.

"Thus the Attorney General believes that it is not int he best interest of the victim and the prosecution to present her before the
court at this point in time. The AG is mindful of the provisions under the prosecutors code one of which is that the best interest of the victim is to be considered in cases of this nature in deciding whether to prosecute a case or not."

The statement went on further tthe other witnesses in this
case who are mostly family members of Ewureffe are also very
unwilling to testify. The Attorney General believed in the case so
held on to it with the hope that witnesses would willingly appear to
testify when they are needed by the court. This is not to say that
the AG is unaware of the various legal processes at her disposal to
compel the witnesses to appear before the court.
"It is to be noted that the Attorney General still believes in the case
and reserves the right to commence the prosecution ones the victims
and witnesses are ready."

Three students prevent from writing WASSCE because of bushy hair.

The Ghana Eduction Service (GES) has directed authorities at the St John’s Grammar Senior High School in Accra to prepare three of its students to write the Christian Religious Studies paper in the upcoming November/December edition of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

According to the GES, the school should prepare the students for the examination at its own cost. The three students  Harriet Boakye, Betty Boakye and Abigail Rockson  were last Monday prevented from writing the paper in the ongoing WASSCE because they had kept bushy hair, contrary to the school’s rules and regulations.

The acting Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Mr Jacob Kor, who gave the directive during a visit to
the school yesterday, described the timing of the disciplinary action as inappropriate.

Exercise caution He said inasmuch as the students had flouted some of the school’s rules and regulations, it was only proper for the disciplinary action to be taken against them after they had written the paper.

“When students in the final year are having disciplinary problems and it is time for examination, they should be allowed
to write the examination and thereafter you deal with them. You don’t deal with them during the process of the examination
because it gives the students more fear and impatience to write the examination,” he said.

Additionally, he said, once the students had registered with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), there was a
contract between the council and the students and as such school administrators should handle such disciplinary issues
within the examination period with a bit of caution.

Giving an account of the events that led to the prevention of the students from writing the paper, the Headmaster of St John’s, Mr Emmanuel Ofoe Fiemawhle, said six students were identified to have bushy hair and asked to go and trim their hair before they would be allowed to write the paper.

Unfortunately, he said, three of them refused to adhere to the
directive and left to report the school authorities to an Accra-based radio station, Peace FM.
He said the rest of their mates who had stayed and pleaded with
the authorities were permitted entry into the examination hall
to write the paper.

A suspect arrested for allegedly shooting policeman

A 22-year-old electrician who allegedly shot a policeman at the Weija Toll Booth seven months ago has finally been apprehended
at his hideout at Kasoa.

The suspect, Mohammed Amin Iddrisu, was in the company of two accomplices when the policeman was shot on September 14,
2014.

Following the incident, the police arrested one of the suspects, David Johnson, 22, a Burkinabe, while Iddrisu and the other accomplice who is yet to be identified fled.

Johnson is currently facing trial.
Police shot Briefing journalists in Accra yesterday, the Deputy Accra Regional Police Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police ( ACP) Mr Timothy Yoosa Bonga, said the policeman had tried tostop the three men, who were on a motorbike, at the Weija Toll Booth, near Kasoa.

He said when the three men failed to stop, the policeman, who was also on a motorbike, became suspicious he cross suspects with his bike.

“Immediately, one of them pulled out a pistol and shot the policeman in his thigh and fled into a nearby bush,” Mr Bonga
said.

One more suspect on the run following the incident, he said, a patrol team in the area pursued the three men and arrested Johnson, but the other two escaped.

Through intelligence, he said, the police gathered that Iddrisu was the main suspect who had shot the policeman.

Iddrisu was eventually arrested on April 13, 2015, while investigations continue to get the third suspect arrested. The policeman, whose identity has been withheld for security reasons, was admitted at the Police Hospital in Accra for some time but he has since recovered and resu duty.

Frank Edwards and Don Moen Set To Collaborate On 5-Track EP

The world-renowned praise and worship leader and Nigeria’s leading Gospel act have collaborated to produce a five track EP to be released this year.

The EP, which is still untitled, was recorded at Frank’s Studios, in Lagos, and has Don Moen singing in Frank’s traditional Igbo
language.

According to Don Moen, the project has been in the works for over a year, with careful planning between Don Moen and Rocktown, Edward’s record label.

“We’ve been talking about a project together for over a year now, and it worked out for me to be in Lagos today” , Don Moen said.

“We’re working on an EP, five songs, we were all day today at the studio, we did three songs. We wrote a song together…we are excited about the project.”

Edwards also revealed his excitement about the new collaboration EP, stating his admiration of Don Moen, and sharing details about how the veteran singer inspired his choice of career.

“It’s more like a father and son relationship, because I grew up watching Don Moen on TV, listening to his music”. Frank revealed .
“His music inspired my writing and creativity, the way I pray. It’s exceptional, I would have said it is a dream come true, but I didn’t even dream about this.

“I thank God and I’m so excited about the EP. It’s 5 powerful songs, and you would get it as soon as we are done recording. I’m sure you will love to hear Don sing in Igbo, and he just sang like an Igbo man.”

Ms Ada Yfm presenter threaten to kill herself

According to sources at the Police Hospital in Accra indicates that Princess Ada, who may be charged with deceit of public officer, is constantly pleading with her parents to leave her to kill herself to end it all - apparently because of the humiliation the act had brought to her.

In view of this, doctors attending to her at the facility, according to police sources have warned family members not to bring any
implement that could aid her in committing the act.

Checks indicate that heavy armed policemen are still guarding the suspect, who is under arrest in her hospital bed.

Reports from the police reveal that Princess Ada has since not been able to give the police her statement, even though investigators in charge of the case always visited the health facility to see if she
could give her own statement to aid them in their investigations.

A police source told Daily Guide that the police would patiently wait until the day she will get well and be able to give her statement.

"Anytime police investigators get to the hospital to take her statement, Princess Ada goes deaf and dumb," the source revealed.

made about her and contacted 323Ent not to use her name or image for their song. 323 then contacted Joselyn's new management for.permission and they requested to listen to the song first before they give it. When they heard the song, they said they didn't particularly like the lyrics as it was talking about her body which they weren't comfortable it and so didn't give permission. Then her management released an official statement two days ago saying they have officially signed Joselyn and anyone who wants to deal with her must
go though them.

“Last week, we noticed that photos of Joselyn were altered and being used to promote a song by TeeBillz. Those photos were used without permission, we didn’t know about it, so we contacted him, wrote him officially to take it down.

inspired by Joselyn.

“So we were waiting to hear a song of inspiration, but when he sent the song, the lyrics of the song was basically Joselyn’s

kind of useless and silly lyrics. So we said to him, we are sorry, we can’t do that and he apologised.

Saharia Law:Pregnant Muslim widow to be flogged in public for having sex at Akyem Tafo.

A twenty-three-year-old widow in Akyem Tafo in the Eastern region is to be given 100 lashes in public for defying a major Islamic principle on widowhood rites, which is known as Iddah.

Ramatu Alhassah is facing the wrath of Muslim clerics in her community for getting pregnant while observing Iddah. The Iddah rites requires that a widow abstains from sex.

However, Ramatu was found pregnant two months into the widowhood rites.

The clerics in the community have been angered by the development and intend subjecting Ramatu and her boyfriend to public flogging as punishment.

Deputy Chief Imam at Akyem Tafo Mallam Madhi Ahmed told the radio station that the punishment must be applied to the couple
in line with Islamic principles and teachings.

“The law says that if something of this nature happens, both of them, if they are not married, they have to be caned 100 lashes each. But if they are married, then, they have to be executed.”

“So in this case, I can say the boy he is not married but the girl is still in the room of her husband [late] so the law has to take
effect on her.”

“If it’s other country like Saudi Arabia, she should be executed and the boy too given 100 lashes. And this happened too in that
same room on the same bed, so we have to apply that law on her,” Mallam Ahmed said.

Ramatu’s in-laws are said to have supported the punishment to be meted out to her, according to the radio stationa. Human rights activists in the town have condemned the action of the Muslim clerics.
