OPINION : Nothing is impressive about Sarkodie ft ace hood - new guy

 

Sarkodie is one of the biggest artist in Ghana and west Africa ..... he has won many awards  ... he is loved in Ghana and beyond.we are very proud of him .. but there is some thing about this new collaboration with ace hood that didn't add up.

The previous collaboration between ice prince and sarkodie .... the Ghanaian artist kill it. It was like two  musical star  coming together to do what the know how to do best. sarkodie was more impressive  .... in that song.

There is are rumours that sarkodie paid ace hood $$$$$ about 5 figures to get them do some collaboration .......... but that is not the case .... the song was more like praising acehood ...sarkodie  wasn't feeling like a big artist, he was behaving like an upcoming artist desperately in need of collaboration. i wonder if he build acehood a statue .... what will build for the likes of rick ross, lil wayne , drake , emeniem and co.

Akon did a collabo with late  Micheal Jackson ...  and it was a sweet collaboration ...akon  was no where compare to Micheal, but he never stoop to low because he was doing a collabo with one of the world greatest artist. 

sarkodie should take the collaboration between davido and meek mills as a case study ...... davido and meeks collabo was more like two giant from different part of the world coming to do their stuff. meeks brought his american stuff and davido brought his naija  ... and the both blend together to produce a hit track.

sark... is a big artist both locally and internationally .... i hope he see that in him too.

Cecil Jones Attuquayefio formal ghana coach died at the age of 70.

Former Ghana and Benin coach Cecil Jones Attuquayefio has died at the age of 70, following a long battle with cancer.

The former international died at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Accra, Ghana    hospital on Tuesday morning,

Mr. Attuquayefio, popularly known as the Millennium Coach chalked several of his successes as a coach when he was in the
helms of affairs at Accra Hearts of Oak.

He led Hearts of Oak to win the CAF Champions League in 2000 as well as the CAF Super Cup. He also led Hearts to win the maiden CAF Confederation Cup against their archrivals Asante Kotoko.

Attuquayefio was assistant coach as Ghana won Africa's first Olympic medal in 1992, when the Black Meteors took bronze, while
he also coached the Black Starlets to third place in the 1999 Fifa Under-17 World Cup.

He was named Africa’s Coach of the Year in 2000. He also led Benin to their first ever Africa Cup of Nations in 2004 in Tunisia.

Naana De Souza writer/Radio personality dies of cancer.

Popular TV/Radio personality, Naana De Souza has died. She died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, Ghana on April 20th after a 6 year battle with cancer.

Souza who is said to be in her 40's  worked previous at  Silverbird Television before she moved to the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), she was a writer, radio and TV presenter.

She will be buried on June 5th in Accra. A service of songs will be organized for her in Lagos on June 10th. She is survived by her
husband Magnus De Souza and four children.

May her gentle soul rest in peace, Amen.

PLEASE HELP: ...My in-laws want to harm me.

I married my wife over 6 years ago ....we are blessed with 2 kids. We occasionally travel with our kids during festival period  (mostly xmas) to meet thier grandparents.

The trouble  all started just before Christmas last year. My wife had asked me to allow her take our 2 kids home to her mother for the celebrations.

I decline her request because it was not in my budget, secondly there financial problems that we can use the transport fare  to solve ....and I am expected to pay the kids school fees by January.

She told her Mum that I refused her

request and calls started coming in. At first my mother in-law tried to convince me but I stood my grounds as I was not prepared for the long trip from accra to Tamale where she reside....... 

In fact, the more I explained the more

she got angry. It got to a point that my mother in-law started saying it is as if I am suspecting her of witchcraft. This she told

her other children and that marked the starting point of all the attacks. 

My mother in-law has 3 sons and one sister and brother here in Accra. She called

them all telling them that I called her a witch. This I never thought of not to talk more of saying. The first attack was when her first son came to my house to confront me, despite all explanations he made sure he did not leave without hitting me.

The following weekend he came back with his 2 younger ones to beat me up. They left after only vandalising my 2 cars because I refused to open the door for them. I called the police in But they fled. Now they are threatening to deal with me anywhere
we meet.

My father in-law is late and his brothers are young than my mother in-law children.

Only last week they came to my house in my absence and asked my wife to warn me.
I am seriously thinking of sending their daughter back to them if that is what they want as the attacks still continues.

2 miners dead, 8 hospitalized after inhaling harmful gas.

Two Ghanaians  Thomas Baasi and Ebenezer Atia  have died after inhaling fumes from mining explosives at Gbani, a mining community in the Talensi District of the Upper East Region.

The two victims, were among ten miners said to have been trapped inside a mining pit when they inhaled toxic gases from explosives used in the minerals activity. The 8 survivors are receiving treatment in the hospital.

The miners are employees of the Shaanxi Mining Ghana Limited, a Chinese mining firm that provides technical support services to two mining groups, Yenyeya and Pubortaaba, in that area.

According to the public relations officer of the company...Maxwell Wooma .... who confirm the incident....

"Some of the people were down the pit conveying the load or stones
up; whiles the white people were also up there blasting. The gas exploded and then some of the workers inhaled it. Instead
of taking them to the hospital some of the workers were given them glucose as first aid. So some of them become totally weak and had to be rushed to the hospital. They delayed in taking them to the hospital because I am told the Safety Engineer said it wasn't anything serious so they were only sent to the Hospital the next morning. And they were given Ghc10 each to travel on their own to the hospital. Two of them are now dead and are at the morgue at Bolgatanga Hospital".

three-and-a-half- year-old girl killed by vehicle in convoy.

A three-and-a-half-year old girl Tiffany Justina Adoma was knock down by a vehicle in a convoy of metropolitan, municipal and district co-ordinating directors from the Eastern and Ashanti regions, on Tuesday at Toamfom in the Bosomtwe District in the Ashanti.

The convoy carrying coordinating directors from the Ashanti and Eastern regions who were attending the one-week funeral ceremony of their late colleague, Mr Grant Kofi Adomako, at Worakose was said have knocked down the little school girl who has her uniform on while crossing the main road.


Adoma, was first rushed to the Kuntanase Government Hospital and later referred to the St Michael’s Hospital at Pramso, where she died.

The District Chief Executive for Bosomtwe, Madam Veronica Antwi-Adjei, visit the parents of the little girl and aslo mourn with them.

She assured the family of the assembly’s support towards the
burial of the deceased and other matters that might spring up.

Man, 41, sentence to death by hanging.

Felix Okine Aryeetey, alias Adjetey, has being sentence to death by hanging at  the Fast Track Division of the Accra High Court.

The convict 41-year old convict, Aryeetey, alias Adjetey, was found guilty by the court, presided over by Mr Justice H. S. Logoh,
for the intentional murder of Samuel Atta Bosomtwe at Berekuso in the Eastern Region.


Cause of the killings...

on August 7, 2003, a quarrel ensued between Juliana and Asantewaa and, in the course of the exchanges, Asantewaa allegedly insulted Juliana as a fool who had sold her husband, Kwaku Abdulai Amuzu, to the chief of Berekuso, Nana Oteng Korankye and Nana Acquah, to be killed at Wassa and used for rituals.

Juliana, out of anger, reported the matter to the chief, who asked her to inform Nana Acquah for the matter to be handled.

However, Juliana failed to report the matter and rather went to Asantewaa’s house the next day and engaged the latter’s sister in a fight.

When Amaning heard the issue concerning his father, he allegedly mobilised some youth who stormed Asantewaa’s house
and met Kwesi Tetteh, who warned them to leave.

In the ensuing commotion, Tetteh entered his room, returned with a machete and slashed Amaning on the neck and the head,
killing him instantly.

When Affum heard that Amaning had been killed, he organised some men, including the other accused persons, to attack Tetteh, but when they got there, Tetteh had fled the house.

When the group met Bosomtwe and his twin brother, the group vented its spleen on the twins.

Aryeetey used a dagger to stab Bosomtwe on the left part of his chest. Although Bosomtwe managed to run home, he reportedly died shortly on arrival.

The other victim, Akosua Eku, was attacked in her house and shot in the lower abdomen. She sustained severe wounds and died some months after undergoing medical treatment.

They further attacked Tetteh’s relatives, including Eku and her secretary, Richard Kwame Boateng.
