Afro-pop icon Noella Wiyaala has been selected by the British High Commission in Ghana to perform locally at an event to be held in honor of the birthday of Queen Elizabeth II.
The Wa ,Upper West born Ghanaian singer-songwriter. Well known for her single "Make Me Dance" and her androgynous image has been choose on Thursday to perform for the quuen.
According to the high commission tweet. ..
We are delighted to announce that
Wiyaala will perform at our Queen's Birthday Party in April 2015”. Queen Elizabeth II, born Elizabeth Alexandra Mary on April 21 1926, is the Queen of 16 of the 53 member states in the Commonwealth of Nations.
Although initial reports had suggested she will be doing so in the UK perhaps in the presence of the Queen, the singer's Media Assistant Abdulai, has confirmed she would be performing for the queen but not in the United Kingdom.
