The Presidential aircraft, Falcon 900, was tasked to perform a special mission at Malabo today, March 3, 2015.
The Presidential Jet of Ghana caught fire on
Tuesday while attempting to take off at the
Kotoka International Airport.
According to a statement signed by Lieutenant Commander Andy La-Anyane, Deputy Director of Information and Press Relations at the Ghana Armed Forces, the crew experienced a slight operational problem with the computer system, the aircraft lost two main left wheels resulting to fiction which lead to fire.
The fire was quickly put out using the plane's extinguishers before the fire service got to the scene.
The President was not on board the flight and no injuries were recorded.
