A cafe manager at Abossey Okai in Accra has alleged that the ‘kidnapped and raped’ Y FM presenter uploaded her nude pictures
unto facebook herself.
According to the cafe manager, she did so at his cafe in Abossey Okai where she came to hire a hotel for that purpose.
Ms Ada real name has been given as Nana Akosua Apea Antwi, by her mother and her school mates of krobo girl senior high school in eastern region. Ms Ada hails from Akyim Awusa in the Eastern Region.
Doctors at the GPHA Hospital who also carried out tests on her have concluded that the lady was not raped as was assumed by her nude pictures that went viral on Monday.
The father of the YFM presenter who staged a dramatic abduction and rape story has confirmed she is Ghanaian and not a Nigerian as was originally believed.
Speaking on Peace FM’s morning show ‘Kokrokoo,’ Samuel Oduro Antwi said the presenter popularly known as Miss Ada was born in Ghana, lived here all her life.
He said the Nigerian name the presenter is known for came about after she worked with a Nigerian man called Mr Ayoka.
The man she worked with liked her so much that he adopted her and gave her the name, Adaeze Onyinyechie Ayoka.
Mr. Antwi said he named his daughter Naana Appiah Antwi not the name she is known by.
Some media platforms have reported that the presenter was married to a Nigerian which is why she has a Nigerian name but her father denies this.
He says she has never been married to anyone.
According to the hotel manager who has submitted a written statement to the police, Ada took a room in the hotel under the guise of shooting a movie. She paid to use the facility for an unspecified number of days.
An eighteen year old suspect, Nelson Williams, has been arrested by police in Accra for his role in the supposed staged kidnapping involving a Takoradi-based Y-FM Presenter.
The suspect was arrested at Abbosey-Okai near Kaneshie on Wednesday, according to Accra Police Public Relations Officer, ASP
Efia Tenge.
ASP Efia Tenge, who said this at a news conference to address the bizarre incident that has caught national attention, said the police is still on the lookout for two other male suspects and another lady who took part in the incident that was also made to look like a gang-rape.
According to ASP Efia Tenge.....
"We are doing serious investigations and the findings so far portrays that of a mixed reaction. The suspect in our custody has denied sexual assault and says all that happened was with the consent of the victim. The victim is in a state of traumatic condition and unable to tell her side of the story. She is being examined both physically and mentally after which we will interrogate her further. No matter the developments it will not compromise our
professionalism on the side of the law".
"All the suspects who are accomplices will be arranged before court once investigations are complete. Our investigations indicates that there were three gentlemen, a lady and the victim in this case. We have arrested one and the other two are on the run. We are doing
everything to arrest them too. The incident took place here in Accra and not Takoradi as suggested earlier. We will need the story of the lady to corroborate what we have gotten so far. So unless she gains her mental stability we can't say much" she said.
